ARE YOU FED UP WITH AIRCRAFT NOISE AND ITS IMPACT ON OUR COMMUNITIES?
IS AIRPLANE NOISE BOTHERING YOU OR AFFECTING YOUR FAMILY'S HEALTH?
Are low-flying noisy planes flying over your home day and night? If so, please join us at a meeting of the Town-Village Aircraft Safety and Noise Abatement Committee (TVASNAC) that the village of Valley Stream is hosting for the first time.
WHEN: Monday, January 28, 2013 at 7:30 PM
WHERE: Valley Stream Village Hall
123 South Central Avenue
(located between Sunrise Hwy and Merrick Rd)
Valley Stream, Long Island
If airplane noise is impacting your life, you are cordially invited to join us at this special meeting. We are expecting participation by the Federal Aviation Administration, Port Authority representatives and community leaders, to be highlighted by AN IMPORTANT DISCUSSION ON THE BILLS OF CRITICAL ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS THAT HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED BY OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS.
TVASNAC, a 40-year old coalition of thirteen communities on Long Island with a home base in Lawrence, is visiting our towns and villages in order to reach more affected communities. It is advocating a ban on low-flying planes, a more equitable distribution of flights onto the airport's other runways and a reduction of late-night flights.
This TVASNAC town hall forum is an excellent opportunity to learn about issues and to express your concerns. So please tell your friends and neighbors to mark their calendars for MONDAY, JANUARY 28,
2013 at 7:30 PM so they can plan to attend and let their voices be heard.
